Being a part of Miss Kim’s Time to Shine class has been an amazing experience for our family. It has given our daughter the opportunity to participate in a dance class that she may not have otherwise had the chance to be a part of due to her limited mobility and being in a wheelchair. We have seen our daughter shine in so many ways and are grateful for what Miss Kim has done.

Eleanor has always loved music and Miss Kim’s Time to Shine class quickly became one of Eleanor’s favorite things. What Eleanor doesn’t realize is while she is having fun dancing with her friends to their favorite, Miss Kim has incorporated creative movements to help Eleanor and her friends improve not only their gross motor and fine motor skills, but also their communication skills. Eleanor’s progress has been amazing to watch and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Eleanor, all her friends, and Miss Kim’s Time to Shine Program.

Time to Shine has been the best thing for Kennedy! Prior to her diagnosis of Autism I had tried letting her be a part of a class and had to pull her out because she didn’t learn like the other children. Time to Shine has been the perfect thing for her! It’s so much more than dance. It’s structure, it’s fun, it’s inclusion, it’s family, it’s perfect! For the first time she isn’t different she isn’t the child disrupting the class she is just there to have fun and learn! Miss Kim has such a special way about her and the way she loves our kids.

The transformation seen in Arya since beginning Time to Shine has been remarkable. This class breaks down the barriers seen too often for children with different abilities. Miss Kim’s teachings address Arya’s needs in speech, physical therapy, and occupational therapy, as well as working on social-emotional development. Arya gets so excited when she sees her legwarmers because that means it is Miss Kim time! She is developing friendships with the other students and these experiences make a lifetime impact. There is no ceiling to Arya’s potential and Time to Shine is helping her along the way.

Moses loves going to ‘Time to Shine’ with Mrs.Kim. He loves to dance so little does he know that while he’s having fun he’s working on his social, gross and large motor skills as well as following directions. It’s such a blessing to have this fun & safe environment for him.

Miss. Kim isn’t just a dance teacher to our kids, she is someone who believes in them, loves on them and celebrates every little victory with them! We are so blessed to have her in our lives. Rachel loves her Miss. Kim Black!
